Author, Journalist, Filmmaker



Gene Ritchings has published two novels, “Winter in a Summer Town” and “Frankenrocker,” and is currently seeking an agent for his third, “My Name is Adrienne Monet.” He is writing a memoir, “Maladie d’amour: Love, Sex, and Cancer.” He has a wealth of professional experience in journalism and film making. He worked for many years in film production in New York City, including ten years running the production office at “Law & Order,” where he co-wrote an episode for that series. He has directed several performance films of the choreography of the late Anna Sokolow. A former reporter for the Ocean County Daily Observer and the Asbury Park Evening Press, he is the managing editor of a chain of weekly newspapers in Hudson County.
